UTA+ Library Resources for High School Students Are you a motivated student who wants to succeed in school and in college? Parental Consent (PDF) is required for students under 18. Consider combining a visit to the library with a campus tour or a stop at the Honors College. Be sure to keep in touch with the UT Arlington Admissions Office for the next campus Preview Day! Juniors! Take advantage of the UT TeleCampus' free online TAKS test readiness tool, TRACK -- TAKS Readiness and Core Knowledge. Use TRACK to get prepared to take the 11th grade TAKS test. TRACK also has tutorials to help you study for the test. Library CardsStudents under the age of 18 wishing to get a library card need to present a completed Parental Consent Form (PDF) (which includes the library card application) to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Adults and students over the age of 18 need to complete our High School Outreach Program Library card application (PDF) and present it to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Proof of school affiliation is required with your application. Cards are only issued at the Central Library Circulation Desk. For visiting classes or groups, please request cards in advance of the visit to allow adequate processing time. Borrowing Privileges
All visitors wishing to use the computers to access library resources or the Internet must register for a temporary one-day computer account. Accounts are issued immediately and remain valid until midnight on the day issued. To get a temporary computer account:
Online databases and publications contain information protected by copyright. Visitors are expected to adhere to our Database Copyright and Use Statement. A guest computer account is a privilege granted to visitors, and the Libraries reserve the right to suspend or amend this privilege if a user does not follow the guidelines set forth in the Computer Use Policy. Classes and groups who are scheduled to use the Libraries' hands-on classroom do not need temporary computer accounts. Information for K-12 Teachers and LibrariansAs a supporter of our community and neighbors, the UT Arlington Library invites teachers, librarians and administrators to use our T-Link program to access resources and services for classroom support and professional development. Our library collection includes professional books, journals, electronic databases with full-text journal articles, and a Reading Resources Room (RRR) with state approved textbooks, teachers' editions of textbooks, and some curriculum guides. Through T-Link, you are eligible for a free library card and on-site access to our electronic resources. Our library staff is happy to work with you to design staff development programs for your school or to develop instruction sessions for your students. Directions and ParkingIndividuals may check parking arrangements by contacting the Parking Office at (817) 272-3907. Their hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. The Maverick Parking Garage is located to the east of Central Library.
