Prof. Vassilis Athitsos, Computer Science & Engineering, was invited by the Library to choose an item to add to the Library's collection, purchased with the support of the Friends of the UT Arlington Library on the occasion of her Promotion to Associate Professor with Tenure.
Prof. Athitsos chose Paradigms of Artificial Intelligence Programming: Case Studies In Common Lisp by Peter Norvig, San Francisco, CA: Morgan Kaufman Publishers, 1992.
Prof. Athitsos's remarks on this item:
"This is a book that I found very helpful when I was a graduate student learning about artificial intelligence. It is geared towards facilitating individual study, and it can help students get hands-on experience with implementation of sophisticated artificial intelligence methods. I learned a lot from this book, and I would hope that it will be a valuable resource for UTA students studying this topic."
