UT Arlington Library Cards For UT Arlington students, faculty, and staff, your MavExpress ID Card is your library card. You'll need your MavExpress ID to check out materials from the UT Arlington Library. Information for Visitors The UT Arlington Library is open to all visitors, who may use the facilities free of charge. Certain services are restricted, however. Visitors who are not currently enrolled UT Arlington students or currently employed UT Arlington faculty or staff can get a library card to check out materials from the UT Arlington Library. To Get a Library Card:Retired UT Arlington Faculty: Bring a photo ID card to the Central Library Circulation Desk Members of the UT Arlington Alumni Association: Bring your current UT Arlington Alumni Association membership card and a photo ID to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Your library card will be valid for the duration of your UT Arlington Alumni Association membership. Members of the Friends of the UT Arlington Library organization: Bring your Friends of the Libraries membership and a photo ID to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Your library card will be valid from the date of membership through September 1st. Current students, faculty, and staff of Texas colleges and universities and library card holders at Texas public libraries: If your college or university or public library is a member of TexShare, you can get a UT Arlington library card. Get a TexShare Card from your home library. Bring your TexShare Card with a photo ID to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Your UT Arlington Library Card will be valid for the length of time designated by your home institution. Faculty at colleges and universities participating in the OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program: Get an OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Card from your home library. Bring this card and a photo ID to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Your UT Arlington Library Card will be valid through the end of the current academic year. High School Students and K-12 Teachers: Area high school students and local teachers and librarians in grades K-12 through can get library cards through the UT Arlington Library K12 Connections program. Students under the age of 18 wishing to get a library card need to present a completed Parental Consent Form (which includes the library card application) to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Adults and students over the age of 18 need to complete our High School Outreach Program Library card application and present it to the Central Library Circulation Desk. Proof of school affiliation is required with your application. Cards are only issued at the Central Library Circulation Desk. For visiting classes or groups, please request cards in advance of the visit to allow adequate processing time.
