Reading Resources Room Description: The Reading Resources Room holds two distinct collections provided to support the curriculum in the College of Education. Materials may be checked out for seven days. An electronic collection of curriculum guides and related curricular materials is available in the Kraus Curriculum Development Library. Children and Young Adult Literature Books authored for children and youth. Titles include winners of the Caldecott, Newbery, Coretta Scott King, and Texas Bluebonnet awards, among others. Young adult fiction and non-fiction titles in all subject areas are selectively included. Amelia Bloomer Project titles are well represented in this collection. K-12 Textbooks A selection of textbooks currently approved for use in Texas schools. Selection is based on subjects commonly taught in Texas schools. The emphasis is on subjects for which the College of Education offers teacher certification. Physical Location: Central Library, 2nd floor |
