Description: The Hardin-Simmons University band staged a noisy demonstration in the Texas and Pacific Station during a brief stop en route to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Left to right, posing with two of the six white horses taken along with the band, are Bernard Kirkpatrick, of Sweetwater, Texas, and Von Ceal Brantley, of Dalhart, Texas. Silver King is on the left and Sonny is on the right. Kirkpatrick and Brantley are wearing collared shirts that have "HSU" printed over the left breast pocket, jeans, chaps, and cowboy hats.
