In the picture, Salmon (white shirt), a player from SMU stands with his arms wide open trying to guard the basketball with his right knee bent forward and his left leg stretched out. While, Johnson (center) and DeWitt hustle to get the ball. There is a third unidentified player behind the three of them. All players have their respective school jerseys and are wearing socks and sneakers. Baylor Bears won at 43-42. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 11, 1948.
