"I Fight Like a Girl" Exhibit

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UT Arlington Libraries invites you to visit “I Fight Like a Girl,” an exhibit that allows you to learn more about what it's like to live with breast cancer, now displayed on the second floor of Central Library through Oct. 31.

“I Fight Like a Girl” is a photographic essay created by Ann Beck and Angie Viscuso. The series was inspired by Angie’s brave and successful battle with breast cancer in 2007. It is designed to help survivors of breast cancer tell their stories, both for their own therapeutic release, and to educate and inspire others. Through emotional interviews and powerful portraits, survivors are treated not as a victim, but as a fighter, with the tenacity and resolve of a boxer gearing up for her next match.

For more information on the series, visit the I Fight Like a Girl website or Facebook page.
