Reeder Students and their Art

Richard, Laura, and Phyllis Banks attended Reeder School from 1951 through 1958, and performed in The Happy Hypocrite, The Rose and The Ring, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Le Bossu, and The Knight of the Burning Pestle. During this time, their mother, Jeanne (Mrs. Richard) Banks, was an art teacher at the school.

Richard is a retired U.S. Attorney and often credits Reeder School for giving him the skills to think on his feet, putting him at ease in trying cases as far as the Supreme Court.

Laura is a real estate investor and has pursued theatre as an avocation.

Phyllis is now retired from a career as a technical writer and editor.

The Reeder Children's Theatre Presents...Memories of Fort Worth's Reeder School is presented by Special Collections, The University of Texas at Arlington Library.
