Service Centers
Center for Greater Southwestern Studies
The Center for Greater Southwestern Studies and the History of Cartography was created by the History Department in 1991 with the goal of promoting the scholarly study of the region. The Center works closely with the faculty, other UT Arlington centers, and the UT Arlington libraries' Special Collections in sponsoring events, such as conferences and symposia. The Center publishes Fronteras, an award-winning newsletter, which highlights events and developments in Southwestern Studies at UT Arlington.
Java City
Java City is located inside the UT Arlington Central Library Building, on the First Floor (Near the Circulation Desk & Sam's Click Cafe). Java City offers a full coffee bar experience, including light snacks,that is open seven days per week. Java City is operated by UT Arlington Dining Services.
UT Arlington Help Desk
The Help Desk provides face-to-face contact with the Office of Information Technology staff and is open extended hours to assist UT Arlington students, faculty and staff with their computing needs. Users can activate their Windows NT Account, pick up documentation, get answers to questions regarding computer usage at UT Arlington, consult with an expert, and more. Writing Center
The UT Arlington Writing Center, located in Central Library 411, is a service of the English Department that helps UT Arlington students become better writers. Tutors provide help to undergraduate students on any essay, project, or report you are writing for an undergraduate class; application essays for scholarships or graduate programs; job application letters and resumes; and creative or personal writing. Tutors offer limited assistance to graduate students with writing tasks. More information...
Xerox Copy Center
Photocopy services in the UT Arlington Library are provided by the XEROX Copy Center. A full service copy center is located in Central Library B03 (across from the elevators). Self-service copiers are located in the basement and on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the Central Library, as well as in the Architecture & Fine Arts Library and in the Science & Engineering Library.
