Did you know that chronic pain is one of the most prevalent and costly medical problems in the United States today? Approximately 10%-20% of adults in the general population experience chronic pain, and the total estimated healthcare costs to Americans are more than $70 billion per year. Fortunately, recent advances in pain researach have led to the development of more effective chronic pain management programs. Such “cutting edge” research and treatment programs will be discussed.
