Title: Mapping Election Data in Your Neighborhood
Description: See how Geographic Information Systems can be used to explore presidential election voting trends by precinct (VTD) around your neighborhood and across the state. Then we will compare various demographic trends, such as income, age, and race, and its geographic relationship with voters. No prior GIS experience is required. Open to all.

Title: Mapping Happiness
Description: Learn how you can map world happiness by country and investigate possible causes of this happiness. The data used in this workshop are the same as those used in this year's One Book, entitled "Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future." Title: Vampires in North America: Map Settlements and Migration Patterns
Description:Learn how Geographic Information Systems techniques such as site suitability and shortest path analysis can be used to locate vampire settlements and vampiric migratory patterns. This topic is an exercise of the imagination, with vampire themes taken out of the bestselling "Twilight Series" books and movies. No prior GIS experience is required. Open to all.
