UT Arlington Library GIS Workshop Series for Fall 2006 Presenter: Joshua Been, GIS Librarian Who May Attend: UT Arlington Students, Faculty, and Staff, and the general public. Title: Find Out Where You Should Hang Out This Friday Night Time: Thursday, September 21, 2006, 3pm - 5pm Location: Central Library, Room B20 (basement) Description: Use Geographic Information Systems (electronic mapping) to find the best place in Tarrant County to hang out this Friday night. No GIS experience necessary. Title: Explore Low Income Housing Data Using Geographic Information Systems Time: Thursday, October 26, 2006, 3pm - 5pm Location: Central Library, Room B20 (basement) Description: Learn how GIS can explore the relationships between low income housing and various socio-economic indicators. No GIS experience necessary. Title: Mapping the Afghan Population in the U.S. Time: Thursday, November 9, 2pm - 4pm Location: Central Library, Room B20 (basement) Description: Find out where in the U.S. there are large centers of Afghan population.
