Quota-based printing is available in all of the UT Arlington Library. In Central Library, printing is available on the first floor in Sam's Click Café and on the second floor in the Reference department.

Quota-based printing is also available in the OIT Computing Facilities including the GIS Computing Facility in Central Library.

Special-purpose printing in the Digital Media Studio is also included in the quota-based printing system.

UT Arlington students, faculty and staff MUST use their MavExpress Card to print.

Visitors must buy a printing card from a Print Card vending machine located on the first floor of Central Library near the OIT Help Desk. A visitor printing card costs $1.00 in addition to the printing credits that have to be added to the card. The Print Card vending machine accepts $1, $5, and $10 bills.

Beginning in the spring semester 2006, UT Arlington students will have a $70 quota for free printing using OIT and Library printers during the spring/summer semesters. This quota calculates to 700 pages of single-sided B&W laser printing at $.10 per page or 933 pages of double-sided B&W laser printing at $.15 per sheet.

Beginning August 18, 2007, color printing will be deducted at $.50 per single-sided sheet or $.75 per double-sided sheet. Once a student has used his/her quota then he/she will have to pay for all subsequent printing for the academic year. Students will use their Mav Money account for this purpose. During the fall semester of 2006, the quota for the academic year will be $100.

To get your printouts, you will have to swipe your MavExpress Card (or your visitor printing card) at the printing workstations near the printers. For single-sided black&white printing, 10 cents will be deducted from your print quota (or your visitor printing card) per page. For double-sided black&white printing, 15 cents will be deducted for each double-sided sheet of paper. For color printing, 50 cents per page will be deducted for single-sided printing, and 75 cents per sheet for double-sided printing.

Refunds may be available for printing jobs where the printer has malfunctioned. Download the refund request form (MS Excel) or pick up refund request forms from the library.
