LibQUAL+™ Survey

The results for the 2005 and the 2007 LibQUAL+™ surveys are available here.

LibQUAL+™ Surveys

LibQUAL+™ is a standardized survey developed by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) in collaboration with the Texas A&M University Libraries. The survey provides libraries with a method for measuring the quality of library services by examining perceptions, preferences, and expectations of faculty, students and staff. One thousand libraries internationally have participated in the survey since 2000. During 2007 over 260 libraries in North America and Europe asked users to take the survey. For more detailed information, see the LibQUAL+™ web site.  For more information about the 2007 UT Arlington Library survey, see the LibQUAL+™ at UT Arlington FAQs

We use your responses in our planning activities and to improve our services. Service enhancements implemented based on the results of the 2005 survey include:

  • Lengthened circulation loan periods for students and faculty
  • On-going space reallocation in the Central Library, the Art and Architecture Library and the Science and Engineering Library
  • Redesign of the Library website
  • Redesign of the Library online catalog
  • Addition of catalog access only computers
  • Additional computer workstations in library facilities

This survey has been approved by the University of Texas at Arlington Institutional Review Board, Office of Research Compliance, 202 E. Border, Suite 201, Box 19188. Arlington, TX  76019. (817-272-3723)
