Use your library card to check out materials from the UT Arlington Library and to make inquiries about the materials already checked out to you. Your library card, along with a picture ID card if applicable, identifies you as the person authorized to use your library privileges and your library circulation account.

The MavExpress ID Card is the photo ID card issued to you when you become a member of the UT Arlington Faculty, Staff, or Student communities. This ID card has many uses on campus. It also serves as your library card.

You must present your MavExpress ID Card when you want to check out materials from the UT Arlington Libraries.

You can get your MavExpress ID Card from the MavExpress Office in the E.H. Hereford University Center.

As a Secondary Borrower, you are given a laminated University of Texas at Arlington library card when your library borrowing privileges are set up. This card has your name typed on the front and a barcode on the back.

Present your Secondary Card along with a photo ID card when you want to check out materials from any of the UT Arlington libraries.

You must present your MavExpress Card, or other library card and a photo ID, when checking out materials from the UT Arlington Libraries, or when making enquiries about your library records. This is for your protection, so that materials aren't checked out to you without your consent and authorization, and so that your library records can remain confidential.

If your MavExpress ID or other library card has been lost or stolen, inform the Central Library Circulation Desk immediately so that we can help prevent the unauthorized use of your card.

If you have come to the Libraries to check out materials and have forgotten to bring your MavExpress ID or other library card with you, as a courtesy, we will hold your items for you for 24 hours until you return with your ID.
