Textbooks - Academic
Textbooks used in University courses are not routinely acquired for the Libraries' collections. Because student texts are readily available in bookstores and the Libraries' space and funding are finite, textbook purchases would diminish the Libraries' ability to serve the University community with new, unique and large or costly resources. Textbooks may be acquired as general introductions to a subject or as surveys of a discipline if the information presented is not available elsewhere. |
