UT Arlington Libraries’ group study rooms provide a place for our UTA Community to engage in collaborative work and study.
These rooms are not intended for individual study, socializing, or having a private place to take a nap. Staff may ask group study room users to leave if the room is being used for anything other than its intended purpose.
Single users in a group study room may be asked to vacate the room. Priority will be given to groups.
Your cooperation and courtesy are appreciated. If you are unable to resolve a dispute over the use of a room, please seek staff assistance at any Service Desk.
The Libraries provide two types of Group Study Rooms:
- Reservable (rooms you need to reserve at: https://openroom.uta.edu)
- Non-Reservable (first come-first served; no reservation required)

MAKING A RESERVATION
Current UT Arlington students, faculty, and staff may reserve group study rooms with a valid UTA Net ID at https://openroom.uta.edu
A person may reserve a study room in 30-minute increments up to a maximum of 3 hours per individual per day.
Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.
Please be considerate of your peers and DO NOT book rooms for more than the maximum time by using the logins of different group members. Group study room users without reservations must leave when requested by a group with email proof of valid reservation. All persons reserving a room will receive an email confirming their reservation.
Rooms are unlocked, so no key is necessary to access the room.
