Placing Materials on Reserve Materials are put on Reserve because they are in high demand. By being on Reserve, they are checked out for short periods of time so that they are available to as many library users as possible. We try to protect them against loss or theft by requiring that reserve materials be checked out for use. E-Reserves are reserve materials that are made available on the Web and require a password for access. With this service, the UT Arlington Library Access Services department will digitize materials for you, arrange access for you and your students, and monitor copyright issues. Putting Materials on Reserve Materials can be put on print reserves, E-Reserves, or both. Use the Reserves Request Form to request that materials be put on reserve. See UT Arlington Library Reserves Copyright Guidelines and UT Arlington Library Electronic Reserves Copyright Policy for the details of what we can and cannot place on reserve. Loan Periods and FinesReserve loan periods are chosen by the faculty member, for materials on reserve for a class and cannot be renewed. Reserves materials have a higher overdue fine than regular materials. When an item is not returned, we will bill you for the replacement of the item. Finding Reserves MaterialAll reserve items have a call number and are included in the UT Arlington UT Arlington Library Catalog. In the UT Arlington Library Catalog select the Course Reserves tab and then search by professor's name or course number.
