Information for Faculty

Items Owned by UT Arlington

UT Arlington Libraries provides delivery of local library resources to faculty members via the UT Arlington Interlibrary Loan Online System. This service is known as Faculty Resource Delivery or Document Delivery.

Access and Discovery staff will retrieve books, bound periodicals, documents, and media held in the UT Arlington Libraries and deliver them to your campus mail box or campus office, or to your campus email address for any copies less than 30 pages. Requested materials must be from the UT Arlington Libraries' circulating collections, and not from the electronic collections.

How to Place a Request

  • Go to the UT Arlington Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Online system: https://uta.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/
  • Log in using your NetID and password. (First time users will be prompted to set up their interlibrary loan profile when they enter their NetID and password.)
  • In the Main Menu select the "Faculty Resource Delivery Request" form.
  • Fill out the form in ILLiad completely, including the call number of the needed material.
  • To find the call number, use the UT Arlington Catalog http://pulse.uta.edu/vwebv/.
  • When done, “Submit Request”.

Items Requested through Interlibrary Loan

UT Arlington Libraries will attempt to borrow materials or secure scans or photocopies of materials for items we do not own.  In most cases, items on loan from other libraries will be delivered to faculty departmental boxes. Faculty will receive an email when an item is ready to be delivered.

Reserves

Course Reserve Services works with faculty to provide student access to supplemental course materials including books, readings, exams, class notes, streaming videos and more. Materials are made accessible either online as electronic reserves or available for check-out at one of our three libraries. To request that items be placed on Course Reserves complete http://library.uta.edu/form/reserves-request-form for all materials except streaming videos. Streaming videos can be ordered through http://library.uta.edu/form/streaming-video-request.
