UTA Libraries’ Textbook Hero video series showcases educators who have adopted open educational resources or other affordable course content, which reduces barriers to education. Faculty and staff from UTA's Department of History, featured in episode three, have saved UTA students over $388,700 since Summer 2016 by using an open textbook published by OpenStax in all online sections of two introductory history courses.
