Science & Engineering Library

The Science and Engineering Library (SEL) is located in the basement of Nedderman Hall, room B03. Librarians are knowledgeable about unique materials housed in the Science and Engineering Library and other UT Arlington Library locations. Check out the latest news and information from the Science & Engineering Library in exSEL News, our monthly newsletter. We also host monthly exhibits on topics related to science, technology and engineering.

By providing access to a core print collection and growing digital research resources, the library supports teaching, learning and research in the following areas:

• Bioengineering
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Civil & Environmental Engineering
• Computer Science Engineering
• Electrical Engineering

• Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering
• Materials Science
• Mathematics
• Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
• Physics
• Nanotechnology

The library houses relevant and frequently used circulating book titles published 1991 and forward. The exception is QA71-QA90, of titles published 2000 and forward. Also houses current journals and bound journals from 1996 to date. Reference books and course reserve materials are also available. The call number coverage in SEL ranges from Q through TS. Exceptions include QM & QP1-499. Some important but more infrequently-used books and journals are retained in the library but are located at the Library Collections Depository (LCD). Materials from the LCD may be retrieved in twenty-four hours or less via the storage request form in the online catalog.
