Information and Services Special Collections collects and provides access to historical materials, in all formats, relating to Texas, the U.S. War with Mexico (1846-1848), the cartographic history of Texas and the Gulf of Mexico, and Mexico from 1810-1920. The materials in Special Collections are non-circulating and must be used on site in the UT Arlington Central Library. Book and journal holdings, historical manuscripts, archives, including the university, political and labor collections, graphics, and a number of the Spanish language collections are cataloged in the UT Arlington Library Catalog. Other materials, such as maps, and photographs are accessible with in-house finding aids and card catalogs.
