University Archives
Material retained by the University Archives includes correspondence, memoranda, financial and statistical reports, budgets, files from the offices of the president and of the provost/vice president for academic affairs, minutes of various campus committees and student groups and of The University of Texas System Board of Regents, photographs and negatives, proposals, scrapbooks, theses and dissertations, and artifacts. Printed materials, such as newspapers and newsletters, yearbooks, university catalogs, and other university publications, are also collected. In addition, the University Archives maintains an extensive collection of oral history interviews, primarily with faculty and administrators of the school. List of CollectionsFinding aids, inventories, and descriptions are available for many of the archival collections. All collections, both processed and unprocessed, are listed and described, in the 2000 edition of A Guide to Archives and Manuscripts in the Special Collections Division at The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries. An electronic version is available online, and a loose-leaf addendum to the Guide is available at the Special Collections reference desk. Most of the collections are also cataloged and appear in OCLC and the UT Arlington Library Catalog. See online Finding aids If you have questions about the University Archives, please contact Gary Spurr at spurr@uta.edu or (817) 272-7511.
