Adopt-A-Journal
The University of Texas at Arlington Library actively seeks gifts to help provide additional materials and services that might otherwise not be available to users. Gifts to The UT Arlington Library benefit students, researchers, and others throughout the region who use The Libraries resources on site and through interlibrary loan. Why Adopt-A-Journal?The Library has instituted the Adopt-A-Journal program in order to enhance the vital information resources that support teaching and research on campus. The rising cost of subscriptions for journals has limited the purchase of new journal titles and has caused the cancellation of some subscriptions. Over a period of time, these cancellations can have an adverse effect on the research being conducted in the Library by students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Ways to ParticipateThe Library encourages financial support from individuals and businesses who are interested in supporting journal subscriptions. Participation in the program can be in one of three ways:
For those interested in supporting specific journal subscriptions, the Library can provide a list of titles in a given field. Donations which support a specific title will be recognized by a bookplate in the bound volume of the journal. In all cases, donations will help the Library maintain an effective collection of information resources. For more information about The UT Arlington Library, visit our homepage. All donors are recognized in the Library's Annual Report and newsletter, UT Arlington Library Notes. |
