Services for Disabled Users The Libraries' staff strive to provide equal access to our collections and services for users with physical and learning disabilities. Getting Books & Articles The UT Arlington Library provides delivery of library resources to Distance Education students and faculty via the UT Arlington Interlibrary Loan Online System. Access Services staff will retrieve books, journal articles and media held in the UT Arlington Library and deliver them to your preferred mailing address. Requested materials must be from our circulating collections. To use this service, you must be a registered user of the UT Arlington Interlibrary Loan Online system. First time users will be prompted to register when they enter their NetID and password. Log into your ILL account and use the "Distance Education Delivery request" form. Please fill out the form completely and give the call number. Find the call number in the UT Arlington Library Catalog. This service is currently available only to:
Library Instruction & Research Assistance Library instruction and training sessions rely heavily on visuals or sound. Instruction sessions can be tape recorded so the volume can be increased for later reference. Handouts can be enlarged, or electronic copies can be provided. Please contact Mary Jo Lyons at (817) 272-7520 to request arrangements. The Library provides assistance in searching the online catalog and other databases. This service is provided only during Reference Desk hours. In order to provide more expedient service, patrons who require more than 15 minutes of assistance are asked to make an appointment. Please contact the Reference desk, or call (817) 272-3394. Know Your Rights Students who believe they have been treated in a discriminatory manner because of a disability may informally discuss the allegations or formally file a written complaint of discrimination with the Office of Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action. The University of Texas at Arlington Office for Students with Disabilities has information on ADA Grievance Procedures and Section 504.
