Services
Faculty Resource Delivery Service
Library staff will retrieve books, bound periodicals and media held in the UT Arlington Library and deliver them to your campus mail box.
TexShare Card
You may be able to have access to other libraries in the in the State of Texas and around the United States.
Borrowing Privileges
Faculty can:
- Have up to an unlimited number of items checked out at one time
- Check out books for 1 academic year, with a due date of May 31, 2007.
- Check out special materials
- Check out current or bound periodicals for 7 days, with no renewals
- Renew materials 2 times for 1 year each time, unless an item has been placed on hold for another user
Visiting or temporary faculty and researchers can also receive the privileges of UT Arlington Faculty through arrangements with the Central Library Circulation Desk. Contact us at library-servdesk@listserv.uta.edu or (817) 272-3395 for more information.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan locates and obtains for you information resources that are not available in the UT Arlington Library's print, microform or electronic collections. We get these materials from other libraries and from commercial document delivery suppliers.
Course Reserves
The UT Arlington Library provides both a traditional, print reserve service and E-Reserves service, which are reserve materials that are made available on the Web and require a password for access. With this service, the UT Arlington Library Access Services department will digitize materials for you, arrange access for you and your students, and monitor copyright issues.
Off-Campus Access to Library Resources
You may access most research databases and electronic journals from off-campus.
Digital Media Studio
A self-service multimedia production and training facility designed to serve the needs of UT Arlington students, faculty, and staff.
A wide variety of multimedia software is available in the studio. Software in the DMS enables digital audio and video editing, graphics and animation creation, 3D design, web site development, photo and image manipulation, desktop publishing and multimedia authoring. Located in the basement of the Central Library.
Reference and Research Assistance
Knowledgeable in a broad range of print and electronic sources, subject librarians are a valuable resource for faculty. They are available for personal appointment. Quick reference assistance is available via phone, email or chat using our Ask A Librarian service.
Library Instruction
The Libraries offers an array of instructional services to support the research and teaching needs of the UT Arlington and Arlington communities. You may request customized instruction session for your group or class. Schedule a library instruction session for your class or evaluate a session your class has already had.

Recommend a book that you think the library should purchase.
Gifts of Books and Other Library Material
Gifts of books, manuscripts, musical recordings and other materials, made outright or by bequest, allow The UT Arlington Library to make valuable additions to their collections.

RefWorks
RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and database manager that allows users to create their own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. These references can be used in writing bibliographies for papers and to automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds. Various writing styles are accommodated.

New books and other materials are added to the Library collection daily.
Research Guides & Bibliographies
Created by library staff, these guides and bibliographies are excellent for beginning your research or recommending to students.
Plagiarism
Explanation and resources on plagiarism that might assist you and are great to recommend to students.
Library Course Guides
The UT Arlington Library instruction services staff compile guides to library research focused on individual courses taught at UT Arlington. Library Course Guides can offer:
