Description -   In April, 1846, with hostilities between the United States and Mexico imminent, the centralist Paredes government appointed Nicolás Bravo to head the war effort. In this broadside issued from Veracruz, Bravo, who had fought in the Wars for Independence, appealed to his troops’ patriotism and called for a united war effort. Includes bibliographic information about the broadside.
