Description -   This broadside, issued by acting president Gómez Farías to the citizens of Michoacán, was written the day after the outbreak of Polkos revolt in the nation's capital. Characterizing the Polkos and their leader, Peña y Barrágan, as traitors for their refusal to defend the homeland against the United States, the document called for unity in the face of the invasion, and reaffirmed the authority of the Mexican government.
