Description -   Prevost writes to his mother of the arrival of General Arista in Matamoras, and rumors of an impending battle. Continuing his letter on May 1st, Prevost reports that he is to be left behind garrisoning the Fort Brown when the bulk of the army marches for Port Isabel.
