Description -   In response to Peña y Barragán’s publication of the Polkos’ thirteen articles, Valentín Canalizo, serving as the Minister of War under Gómez Farías, issued this broadside the same day. Canalizo lambasts the Polkos as treasonous, cowardly, pro-monarchist, and unwilling to help defend the homeland against the United States.
