Course Reserves

Our Course Reserves service is one of the many ways that UTA Libraries supports educational affordability and student access! Course materials requested by an instructor are accessible either online as E-Reserves or On-Site reserves, most of which are available through our self-checkout machines.

Accessing On-Site Reserves

On-Site Reserves are assigned short loan periods and can be checked out at the Reserves desk on the first floor of the Central Library or the service desks at the other libraries.

Using Electronic Reserves

E-Reserves are typically copies of chapters or journal articles that have been scanned and placed online for your course, at the request of your instructor.

Reserve Guidelines for Faculty

On-Site Reserves are supplemental material you may select for your course reserves. For example, you may request that a complete book from our stacks be placed on On-site Reserves.
