The Córdova revolt is discovered when two of Vicente Córdova’s men kill an Anglo Texan resident of Nacogdoches who is attempting to recover stolen horses. Three Anglos (Matthew and Charles Roberts and Mr. Finlay) are also reportedly killed by Mexicans who support Córdova.
