Description:
In response to the capture of San Antonio one week earlier, more than 200 Texas volunteers engage Mexican troops under the command of General Adrian Woll at Salado Creek, a few miles northwest of town. Several dozen Mexicans are killed, including Vicente Cordova, who had led a rebellion of East Texas Mexicans and Indians in 1838. One Texas is killed in the fighting.
