Makerspace Survey Incentive Prize Winners

The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries and the Texas Innovation Group wish to thank everyone who completed our Makerspace survey! The survey is now closed, and winners of incentive prizes have been notified. In all, we received 169 attempted survey responses with 79 completed. Although we would have loved to have had even more respondents, we more than met our initial goal of 100 attempts with 25 completed. We realized this was a monster of a survey, and wish to give special thanks to those of you who muscled through to the end!

We would also like to thank our friends at MakerShed for kicking in additional incentive prizes for a second round of the survey. Upon the initial deadline of September 30th, we honored our commitment to award the ten $50 MakerShed gift cards for those who had completed the survey by the deadline. But we decided we still had time to collect responses; so, with the help of MakerShed, we were able to launch a second round of the survey for another two months and offer additional incentives. That round closed on November 30th.

Without further ado, here are the winners of the incentive prizes:

Second round prize drawings

  • Ray Doeksen [affiliation not disclosed] won the second round grand prize, a Raspberry Pi 3.0 kit.
  • Alan Small [affiliation not disclosed] won a Make: Book Bundle, including Make: Fun!Make: Easy 1+2+3 Projects, and Make: Bicycle Projects).
  • Madalene of the Phoenix Asylum Makerspace in Boulder, CO won a complimentary Make: Magazine subscription.
  • Sharona Ginsberg from the Penfield Library at SUNY Oswego won a complimentary Make: Magazine subscription.
  • One other winner did not provide consent to publish their name here.
