On Wednesday, Morgan Chivers (our FabLab Artist in Residence and technician extraordinaire) and I presented to the 2017 Annual Amigos Member Conference!

Morgan and I want to thank Amigos for inviting us to present at their conference. Our session was very well attended and gave us a platform to talk about our vision of "Maker Literacies" and outline the UTA Libraries Maker Literacies Task Force's efforts to create a Maker Literacies Program at UT Arlington. Our presentation covered the goals of the Task Force, the work we've done so far, lessons learned, challenges faced, and plans for the future.

We also want to thank Jodie Borgerding at Amigos for helping us get setup for this online conference, and for holding our hands throughout the process. We had a few minor technical snafus but with her help we were able to troubleshoot and successfully deliver our presentation.

If you work at an Amigos partner library, you can view our recorded presentation online. You'll need to setup an account and verify that you are affiliated with an Amigos partner in order to access the video. You may also access our PowerPoint presentation and our Handout without logging in.

Feel free to contact me if you have any follow-up questions about our presentation or any of the work we're doing around Maker Literacies.
