Welcome

Welcome to the Digital Gallery of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Libraries. This site features materials drawn from the wealth and diversity of items held by the Libraries. Come back often because items are being added regularly. If you have additional information about any of the items on this site, please contact us.

The new site is organized around general categories. From these categories, viewers may refine their search results by specific subject terms, date ranges, format and more.

Of special interest are two image series recently added to the Gallery:

"Through the Lens of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: A Photographic View of World War II in Fort Worth” visually documents life in the Fort Worth area in the 1940s, both military and non-military.

“Fort Worth, Texas Residential Architecture, 1940s-1990s” contains examples of the richness of architectural styles utilized in the construction of individual homes and entire neighborhoods as Fort Worth grew to become a major Texas city after World War II.

The Libraries is dedicated to preserving, providing access to, and promoting the use of the unique objects of the UTA Libraries, faculty and students. The Gallery is a tool developed to make our digital resources available to researchers, faculty and students at any time, including digitized copies of items in Special Collections that are exceedingly rare or damaged in their original format. This includes rare and archival resources that have been digitized. By giving a higher profile to our digital collections, we hope to foster a culture of digital research.
