Biography:

A native of Austin, Texas, General Gibbs was a member of his high school’s ROTC program, and planned to play football at UTA. When he arrived and the football program closed, he became a physical education major and also a ROTC member. He was assigned to a number of locations during his career, including Wiesbaden, Germany, Fort Benning, GA, Fort Campbell, KY, Fort Bragg, NC, Baghad Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, and Kabul Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
