Geographic Information System (GIS) let us collect, edit, analyze, and visualize spatial data to understand relationships, patterns, and trends. GIS has a variety of applications in many fields including, but not limited to business, public health, transportation, geography, urban planning, architecture, geology, water, and soil management/engineering. UTA Libraries provides support for GIS use in your research and classes.
