Open Access Publishing

Open Access (OA) is the free, immediate, online availability of research materials, coupled with the rights to use these materials fully in the digital environment. OA literature is free of charge and free of most traditional copyright and licensing restrictions yet fully compatible with peer review. Publishing your work open access has many advantages: broader readership for your scholarship and therefore greater impact, serendipitous discovery of it by users, ease of finding, and greater savings for all scholars and libraries.

As part of the commitment to increasing open access to research, the UTA Libraries offers these valuable solutions.  Contact your subject librarian or visit Scholarly Communication: Open Access Publishing for more information.
