750 pounds of Salk vaccine arrives in Fort Worth at Carswell AFB from Austin for free inoculations in first 4 grades of Tarrant County schools; 1st. Lt. Bobby Outenrath (left), pilot who had polio, and Charles Ringler of March of Dimes, 04/16/1955. Charles hands Lt. Outenrath a box with "POLIO VACCINE RUSH" imprinted on the side.
