In this article, there is discussion about a provision that was introduced at the Texas constitutional convention guaranteeing equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities. However, there is an argument about the limitations for access to education by people with disabilities as a result of architectural barriers. As a result, the need for accessible higher education is examined together with the current efforts made by the UTA, using their funds and those provided by governmental agencies.
