Description:
A hunting party of six Delaware Indians is robbed by white horse thieves near Fort Sam Houston, two miles east of resent-day Palestine. All but one Indian is killed. Fearing reprisals, white residents pursue the thieves, apprehending two men, who are taken to the place where the murders occurred and hanged.
