Those involved in bringing the community-wide celebration to fruition include: (clockwise from top left) Deborah Peoples of the Sojourner Truth Cultural Arts Center; Whitney Peoples, 10; Ralph McCloud of the Catholic Diocese Office of African-American Ministries; Glenda Lawrence of Sojourner Truth; Cremola Carter of African Centricity Galleries; Channing Peoples, 14; and Fontainette Woods of the Sickle Cell Anemia Association. The three-day celebration of African-American culture will be held December 27-29 at Forest Hill Mall in Fort Worth.
