Description: Marine Corporal Marion Scott, veteran of four Pacific campaigns and wearer of the Purple Heart is spending Christmas at with his mother, Mrs. Bonnie Scott. The 21-year-old marine's first Christmas overseas in 1942 was spent on Guadalcanal, where he was fighting with the 2nd Marine Division. In 1943 he was stationed in Hawaii, and in 1944 he was on Saipan. It will be the first shared Christmas with his Mom in four years. He returned to the states eight months ago and is working in the fleet post office in San Francisco, California. He is dressed in his military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 24, 1945.
