Description: Ground-breaking ceremonies for the first unit of the Liberator Village Methodist Church began Sunday. Participating in the ceremony, left to right, are Reverend (Rev.) L. Bowman Craven, Mrs. J. T. Brown, and Reverend (Rev.) M. A. Turner. Reverend (Rev.) Craven is the master of ceremonies. He is dressed in a suit, coat, and holding his hat. Mrs. Brown is the church treasurer. She is wearing a headscarf and a coat. Reverend (Rev.) Turner, church pastor, is holding a shovel of dirt. He is dressed in a hat, suit, coat, and gloves. They are gathering around a large sign that reads "This site will be occupied by the Methodist Church". Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 10, 1944.
