Title: 86th Division veteran: Corporal Ernest Davlin
Description: Over 300 Texas soldiers of the famed 86th 'Black Hawk' Division were excited to hit the soil of their home state when their special troop train paused recently at Texas and Pacific Station (T&P Station), Fort Worth, Texas, en route from Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, to Fort Sam Houston. Corporal (Corp.) Ernest Davlin of Cross Plains is pictured here. He is shown standing against the train stopped at the station and smiling for the camera. He is wearing uniform. After he leaves Fort Sam Houston will be en route to Cross Plains to spend his furlough with his wife and mother, Mrs. Ozelle Simmons.
