Title: Private Grady A. Whitehead Junior
Description: This is a copy of portrait photograph of Private (Pvt.) Grady A. Whitehead Junior (Jr.), an infantryman in the United States Army who is shown in his official military photograph, dressed in a military uniform. He was reported Missing in Action on November 17, 1944 and is now listed as Killed in Action in Germany December 7. The War Department sent word to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Whitehead. Private (Pvt.) Whitehead went overseas in September and went into action in France in October. The last letter he wrote to his parents was on November 8. He graduated from Arlington Heights High school and attended National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) and Texas A&M. He received his training at Camp Roberts, California, and Fort Benning, Georgia. He is survived by a sister, Peggy Maxine Whitehead. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, January 5, 1945.
