Description: Mrs. A. C. Pearson is serving at the Fort Worth Red Cross Blood Donor Center as a nurse's aide. She was the first to answer the call for aides to serve in Army hospitals in the 8th Service Command. She is the mother of three sons who are serving in the United States Army. They are Cavalry Captain (Capt.) Ballard Pearson, Lieutenant (Lt.) Glen Pearson, and Private First Class (Pfc.) Robert Pearson. Mrs. Pearson is shown seated at a table, signing paperwork. She is wearing a dark-colored suit, with a collared blouse, and a hat. Since completing her nurse's aide training, she had given two days a week at Harris Memorial Methodist Hospital until the Red Cross Blood Donor Center opened. She has completed about 250 hours as an aide. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 24, 1944.
