Title: Wounded war veterans
Description: Two wounded war veterans are requesting more Women's Army Corps (W. A. C.) medical technicians at the hospitals. Speaking with Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce president, Homer Covey, left to right, are Corporal George Foster and Staff Sergeant Warren "Red" Cowen. The two men are hospitalized at McCloskey General Hospital in Temple, Texas. They have experience first hand the W. A. C. shortage. Corporal Foster, United States Army, was wounded on the beachhead at Anzio. Sergeant Cowen, United States Army, lost both legs in the jungles of New Britain. Corporal Foster and Sergeant Cowen are dressed in their military uniforms. Mr. Covey is wearing a double-breasted suit and a bow tie.
