Description: C. J. Watson, research assistant at Chamber of Commerce. He succeeds Byron K. Butt. Watson is a former Army and Navy Instructor and for four years superintendent of Moran public schools. Watson holds a B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Texas and working on a Ph.D. in Education Administration. He was principal of of Moran High School from 1935 until 1937, when he became superintendent. He enlisted in the Navy in October 1942 and has served as an instructor in radio equipment, and an aircraft mechanics instructor at Chanute Field, Illinois, Amarillo AAF and Sheppard Field. He is photographed at a desk, with a suit and tie, marking, with a pen, a 1946 calendar page. Published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram morning edition, July 20, 1946
